3 Elections. 1 Month. Your Vote Matters More Than Ever

If you think “May election” means one trip to the ballot box, think again. This year, Texas voters could see a unique mix of elections across three separate dates in May:

May 2: Local elections (cities, schools, and local measures) and a special election for Texas Senate District 4. Early voting runs April 20-28.
May 16: Special runoff election for Houston City Council, District C. Early voting runs April 29-May 12.
May 26: Primary runoffs (to decide party nominees for key offices)—there are statewide races on each party’s ballot. Vote early May 18-22 (no weekend).

For REALTORS®, this isn’t just civic participation—it’s business. Decisions made in these elections directly impact property rights, housing affordability, local regulations, infrastructure, and your ability to serve clients. With multiple election dates, even engaged voters could miss one.
