The project, dubbed St. John\u2019s Square, will offer 250 apartments, an eight-floor parking garage, and 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.\nThe eight-story project will be built on 1.3 acres at Nueva and St. Mary\u2019s streets, land which was leased from the St. John\u2019s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Weal Development\u2019s Dennis McDaniel told the San Antonio Express-News that he hopes to break ground on the $30 million complex by the end of 2019.\nAt least 20% of the units will be set aside for households earning 80% of the area median income or lower.
